Atkins Low Carb Diet Products
Atkins is considered to be the granddaddy of all low carb diets.Eventhough the diet was too difficult to follow for some,many people have been on Atkins for years and had followed the same very strictly. While it does seem restrictive as to fruit and some vegetables, people do lose weight and seem to keep it off as long as they stay on the diet. One of the best things about he Atkins diet is that there are so many products on the market that will help you come to terms with the food that is off limits on the diet.
One of the best of the Atkins low carb diet products is the shakes. Most people have no time in the morning to make breakfasts much less sit down and eat anything. If you keep the cans in the fridge or make up a pitcher of the shakes, all you have to do in the mornings is pour and drink. Then you are good to go until lunch. Most of the time these shakes are tasty and very filling. Instead of having that morning low, you will be satisfied all morning. If you commute to work, you can have breakfast on your way so that you can save even more time. Even though there are myriads of fast food joints with breakfast options but few of them offer breakfast meals that are low carb. The Atkins shake will keep you from veering into those fast food places.
The high protein bars are also great meal replacements. Most of us are too busy to fix lunches for brown bagging and have to eat at our desk to save time and money. These bars make eating lunch at the office so quick, clean and easy. You can also use these as snacks in the afternoon if you have that low most people feel every afternoon. Be careful about eating too many Atkins bars because they do contain sugar alcohols. Although the sugar alcohols do not act as regular sugars, too many bars can cause stomach upsets or gas. No one wants these problems at work.
The Atkins cookbooks are perfect if you are trying to stay on a low carb diet even if Atkins is not the diet you have chosen. You can find many great recipes in the Atkins books that you can either use or change a bit to fit your taste. The Atkins books also help to explain how and why the diet works so well. Written in a language that anyone can understand, the books help us to see what junk food and sugary treats do to our bodies. They also explain why other diets don't seem to work in the long haul. Even if Atkins isn't your choice, the books are very useful to anyone who is looking for a good low carb diet.
There is a reason why the Atkins products have been around for such a long time. The diet works and has worked for years. Most of the new low carb diets are variations of this time-tested diet.
